Namibia: modern Africa and huge tourism potential
Namibia turned out to be completely different from how it is usually imagined when people hear the word 'Africa.' In reality, it is a very modern, comfortable, and well-organized country.
The first thing that catches your eye is the roads. They are practically perfect. Getting around the country is easy; everything is well thought out and works without a hitch. The infrastructure is developed, and the service is top-notch — whether it's a simple gas station on the highway or a good restaurant in the city. The food is a pleasant surprise: high-quality, fresh, and quite diverse.
The climate on the coast is unique. During the day, the temperature usually stays around +25°C (77°F), but the sun here is very intense. Without protection, you can get sunburned in literally 10–15 minutes. At the same time, the Atlantic Ocean remains cold and unwelcoming.
Then there is nature — with its diversity of wild animals and truly breathtaking landscapes. The country has 12 national parks, one of which is the fourth largest in the world — Namib-Naukluft National Park.
The desert leaves a particularly strong impression. In some places, it feels like you are on another planet — the landforms and colors are so unusual.
But perhaps the most pleasant discovery was the people. Very friendly, calm, and, importantly, honest. Working and interacting with them turned out to be truly easy and enjoyable.
Overall, Namibia's tourism potential is enormous. On this trip, we only saw a small part of what this country has to offer. But it is already clear: this destination is very promising, and we will definitely continue to develop it.
