A Day of Big Game Fishing and Tuna Adventures in the Seychelles
Today, we worked with a group of young people who came to the Seychelles for the second time.
The initial plan was to check one of our favorite spots 100 km from Mahe, catch a sailfish there, and then switch to vertical jigging. But upon arriving at the spot, the plan changed a bit, and the guys decided to focus mainly on Big Game.
To our surprise, the highest activity was with yellowfin tuna, and even switching to larger lures didn’t faze them at all.
Changing locations and currents didn’t drastically change the situation. The birds were flying everywhere, and the tuna were feeding right at the surface, leaving no chances for other fish.
For dinner, we had fresh sashimi and steaks, and tomorrow we’ll head to a beautiful beach for a family barbecue.
